Spirituality of Fundraising
From the perspective of the gospel, fund-raising is not a response to a crisis. Fund-raising is, first and foremost, a form of ministry. It is a way of announcing our vision and inviting other people into our mission. Henri Nouwen

"Fundraising is a very rich and beautiful activity. It is a confident, joyful and hope-filled expression of ministry. In ministering to each other, each from the riches that he or she possesses, we work together for the full coming of God's Kingdom." Henri Nouwen |

You can send us a one-time cheque or a monthly donation to our church address:

"When we approach fundraising in a spirit of gratitude, our confidence in our mission does not depend on how the person we are with responds to our request! We are free to remain secure in God's love with our hearts set joyfully on the kingdom." Henri Nouwen

When a special day comes around-- birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, Mother's and Father's Day, Valentine's, special remembrance about your partner, family or friends, why not consider making a donation in their name in support of our missions in Toronto, Cameroon and Cuba. Henri Nouwen wrote, "Fundraising is proclaiming what we believe in such a way that we offer other people an opportunity to participate with us in our vision and mission." Henri Nouwen

You can set up a recurring donation through Canada Helps, credit card or by sending us a cheque on a monthly basis.
"When we give ourselves to planting and nurturing love here on earth, our efforts will reach beyond our own chronological existence." Henri Nouwen

We know it's difficult to ask our family, friends, colleagues or wealthy people we know for donations, yet, Henri Nouwen, who asked all his life for the needs of others wrote, "When we approach fundraising in a spirit of gratitude, our confidence in our mission does not depend on how the person we are with responds to our request! We are free to remain secure in God's love with our hearts set joyfully on the kingdom."

There are many ways to be of service in our church, missions, communities, and world. Sometimes we know donors who are able to give without making a sacrifice and other times, we know people who have sacrificed what little they have and given to our Church. If you are not sure how you can be of financial help or an advocate to someone you know who is wealthy, please do not hesitate to give Abp. Roger (416-937-9459) or Sister Silvia (416-700-8813) a call.
"Once we are prayerfully committed to placing our whole trust in God, and have become clear that we are concerned only for the Kingdom; once we have learned to love the rich for who they are rather than what they have; and once we believe that we have something of great value to give them, then we will have no trouble at all in asking someone for a large sum of money."

We are inviting you to invest yourself through the resources that God has given you – your energy, your prayers and your money – in this work to which God has called us. Henri Nouwen
